Karawynn Long is an award-winning author of speculative short fiction and poetry. Her stories are character-focused and her protagonists (not coincidentally) are often disabled or neurodivergent.
Karawynn’s “past lives” included careers as a graphic designer and a proofreader. With her partner Jak Koke she co-managed a speculative fiction small press in the 2000s.
In 2013 she and Jak moved from Seattle to central Mexico, where they now live together with talking dog Tashi, his new rescue sister Frida, and an ever-expanding vegetable garden and subtropical food forest.
Karawynn always has way too many projects in progress, and sometimes she actually finishes one. She is writing her debut novel, a second-world epic fantasy.
